Help Your Child Thrive with Structure and Predictability
Designed by a pediatric occupational therapist, this printable visual schedule transforms daily routines into a playful, empowering experience for neurodiverse children. Perfect for kids with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or those who have experienced trauma.
Why Visual Schedules Work
Visual schedules give children the gift of predictability and control. When kids can see what’s coming next, transitions become easier, meltdowns decrease, and independence grows. This isn’t just a chart — it’s a tool that builds confidence and executive functioning skills in a gentle, supportive way.
Great For:
Children on the autism spectrum who benefit from visual supports
Kids with ADHD who need assistance with sequencing and time awareness
Children with anxiety who feel calmer knowing what to expect
Trauma-informed care — supporting safety, consistency, and control
Building executive functioning skills (planning, organizing, transitioning)
Morning routines, after-school schedules, bedtime routines, weekends, and family plans
What Makes This Different
Created by an experienced pediatric occupational therapist who understands development, regulation, and the importance of making tools feel fun, not clinical. This schedule uses engaging visuals and a playful design that children can genuinely enjoy using.
Rather than focusing on specialized tasks or equipment, it highlights everyday activities and simple connection-based play (such as hide and seek, “guess my animal,” or "hide and seek", or free play)- supporting sensory-motor engagement through natural, child-led interaction.

General Instructions
How to Use the Visual Schedule
1. Prepare the Materials
Print and cut the day board and activity cards.
Laminate if desired for durability.
Add Velcro/sticky tac/adhesive so cards can be moved or swapped.
2. Build Your Child’s Day
Select the morning and/or afternoon cards that match your child’s routine.
Place them in order to create a visual “snapshot” of the day.
Use either one section at a time or both, whichever supports your child best.
3. Review the Day Together
Go through the schedule with your child, pointing to each card.
Previewing the day reduces anxiety and helps them feel prepared.
4. Support Transitions
Refer back to the schedule as the day unfolds.
You can flip cards over, take them off when completed.
5. Encourage Independence Over Time
Begin with adult guidance.
You can gradually allow your child to check the schedule independently, or help them through it.
Use connection or calming cards when your child needs support to reset, or just as an everyday regulation and connection prompt.
6. Adjust as Needed
Swap cards throughout the day if plans change.
Keep expectations clear, short, and achievable.
